Bringing the religion of tea drinking to Bandra’s bylanes, Mumbai will now experience an all new Tasse de Thé tea café – your friendly, Victorian themed neighborhood tea and dessert bar.

The all new TDT tea café and dessert bar is the love labor of father-son trio Jiten Sheth, Rohak Sheth and Somil Sheth. The ideal spot for endless conversation, their new concept project dreams of revolutionizing the tea culture in India by introducing unique tea mixology drinks aka Tea Frappes and Tea Lattes, developed by India’s first tea connoisseur and TDT’s founder Jiten Sheth.
Choco Chip Cookie

“Whether it be a quick tea break or the need for a cuppa after a hard day of work, our Bandra outlet serves a blend of youthfulness and style, with an all new self-service model where teas and desserts are the main heroes. Unlike our Fort outlet, the menu is spryer with select 36 teas out of which 6 teas will change every month, quick eats such as sandwiches, muffins, cookies and an envious dessert menu. For the Diwali season, we have also created special tea infused chocolates that are commensurate to the occasion,” says Rohak Sheth, Co-owner, TDT.

Rosy Raspberry

“With TDT, we've always tried to redefine the tea culture in India and this time is no different. Staying true to the core thought of healthy addiction, the TDT tea café and dessert bar will make healthy Teas from our collection fun and interesting by recreating them as frappes and lattes brewed from high quality whole tea leaves. Our Tea Frappes will be offered in refreshing flavors of Minty Matcha, Rooibos Blush, Black Litchi and Choco mint topped with whipped cream. Our lightly sweet Tea Lattes support a happy belly with gut-loving spices, mint and soothing blueberry which is perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up! Just in time for the long, sun-drenched days, one cannot say no to the whole tea leaves iced tea made with Passionfruit or refreshing iced tea blend made with Hibiscus or Blue pea,” opines Jiten Sheth, Co-owner, TDT.

Orange Rooibos

A menu that tightropes between hot and cold brews, TDT Tea Café will also offer handcrafted tea blends that are mood enhancers, detox enhancers, great for fitness enthusiasts as an energy boost, and with an added variety that are caffeine free. Also available are allergen friendly versions of soy milk and skimmed milk based Tea Frappes, Lattes and refreshing ced teas that are new to the maximum city of Mumbai, in additional to a wide selection of Black, Green, Matcha, Oolong and herbal teas.

Chilli Cheese Toast

The impressive dessert selection includes Rosy Raspberry (Rose flavoured White Chocolate Mousse with Raspberry Jelly & Sweet Biscuit), Matcha Minty Cheesecake (Rich Matcha infused Cheesecake with Mint), Blueberry Lavender Cake (Soft Almond Sponge Cake with mellow White Chocolate Lavender Mousse, Lavender Jelly & Blueberry Glaze) and many more, from a generous self-service menu that is tea infused and simply delicious.

This pastel shaded TDT created by interior specialist Somil Sheth aims to redefine a café feel by offering cosy and beautiful interiors with a French charm. Reminiscent of your most cherished long conversation – be it with a friend, lover or a work rendezvous, the tea cafe makes for a perfect choice for persons of all ages and all vocations, especially freelancers who love working in a place that inspires art and creativity. With its modern yet soothing ambience, TDT Bandra is the peaceful oasis in a fast-paced city for you to unwind any time of the day or night. Soulful as it sounds, you can tune in to the beat of cups and saucers with light music playing in the background to light up your mood, or meet someone new as you enjoy a quiet book on the side.

TDT wants to continue its promise to bring customers more crave-able and delicious tea beverages. Last year, we elevated the tea experience in Mumbai and introduced 300 varieties of teas but this time we are determined to change the entire perception towards tea by making the experience younger and refreshed. Whether you need inspiration or want to inspire, tea reinvigorates the spirit and refreshes hope. Understanding the need of an hour, we will continue to introduce new families of teas as all discover the magic of tea – one sip at a time,” adds Somil Sheth.

TDT gives more reason to enjoy its cuppa by offering all Tea latte, frappes and desserts at just Rs 101 from 15th September to 30th of September.

These three New Zealand eateries boast surroundings that are more than a match for the fabulous food

Amano, Auckland.

For a country of fewer than five million people, New Zealand cooks up a storm when it comes to food culture. These three eateries have the added appeal of architecture and interiors that look straight out of a design magazine. Visual feasts, indeed.

The Glass House Kitchen

Heart of Glass

The Glass House Kitchen at Brick Bay Wines, near Snells Beach, seemingly floats above the winery’s still lake. The cantilevered structure is what the name suggests: even the roof is crafted from glass, meaning the entire building shimmers. But don’t worry, the adjustable ceiling blinds ensure that diners don’t get too dazzled by the summer sun. The food shines here, too. From 10am to 5pm, graze on creative offerings such as vodka-cured salmon with fennel salad or the hard-to-pass-up Brick Bay honey and saffron panna cotta with caramelised peaches.

Travel Tips

Snells Beach is a one-hour drive north of Auckland. Summer brings day-trippers aplenty, so be prepared for crowds if you visit between December and February. Consider coming in autumn or winter instead; it’s quieter and The Glass House becomes a cosy spot for sampling some of the winery’s best bottles.

City Slicker

With pared-back stone walls, exposed wood beams, subtle lighting and mid-century-style seating, Amano is minimalism at its best. The restaurant, in Auckland’s hip Britomart precinct, is renowned for handmade Italian fare perfectly arranged on simple stoneware. Sustainable and local are the keywords here, reflected in such produce as line-caught trevally from Aldermen Islands, Katikati farm Suffolk lamb and Wairarapa coast crayfish.

Travel Tips

Britomart is smack bang in the heart of Auckland – right next to the Britomart transport hub and train station. It’s easily accessible from almost anywhere in Auckland via bus or train, and is just steps from the city’s main ferry terminal.

Knoll Ridge Café is the most elevated eatery in New Zealand, perched 2020m above sea level. Located on Mount Ruapehu, one of the country’s most popular ski destinations, the café was designed by New Zealand architecture firm Harris Butt to reference the site’s original chalet, which was destroyed in a 2009 fire. Featuring a glass wall on the east side and copious timber throughout, it’s one of the best places for a coffee with a volcanic view.

Travel Tips

Mount Ruapehu is in the centre of the North Island, about a two-hour drive from Taupo Airport. It’s home to two of the country’s premier ski areas, Whakapapa and Turoa. The cafe is open from 9am to 4pm year-round.

Location: Mulund West. (Near to station)
